Our Mediation Services
We offer both full day mediations (where the mediator will work with the parties to achieve the settlement for as long as it takes on the mediation day) and time limited mediations which are limited to two, three, or four hours according to the amount in dispute (see our charges page). Not all cases are suited to time limited mediation – our mediators will be happy to discuss whether a full mediation or time limited mediation is appropriate for your dispute. Generally, however, if the dispute involves a number of issues and/or a number of parties it is probably advisable to book a full day mediation.
Seminars
We offer free seminars to solicitors, accountants, other professionals, Citizens Advice Bureaux, Chambers of Commerce and similar bodies on:
- Improving your negotiating skills
- An introduction to mediation
- Too much of a good thing? The Pros and Cons of a time limited mediation
“Improving your negotiating skills” and “An introduction to mediation” complement each other: understanding how negotiation works will help you to get more out of mediation and understanding why mediation is such a powerful negotiating tool will make you a better negotiator. However, the seminars also stand alone and can be delivered independently. Each takes about one and a half hours and a combined seminar takes two and three quarter hours.
“Too much of a good thing? – The Pros and Cons of a time limited mediation” is aimed at solicitors and those who have some experience and knowledge of mediation already and wish to consider when it might be appropriate to opt for a time limited mediation.
For solicitors, each seminar carries Law Society CPD credits.
